It looks like the prediction of El Nino conditions this year may be correct. This morning part time Buena Vista resident John Barley with his son landed 5 Humbolt squid just a mile off the beach.We plan on launching the Jen Wren boats this coming week and getting in on the action. There has also been reports of good stripped marlin fishing on the East Cape.
Last month we took a much needed break from our boat maintenaince and went on a camping trip to Mag Bay. Fishing the mangroves was action packed.
Skipper John Torres in his tin boat "Chula" took us to his favorite spots.
