Recently fishing for billfish has been a little frustrating on the East Cape. It is not because of lack of fish. We are sighting a dozen or more tailing in the course of a day. It is the biters that have been hard to come by.
It's like asking a chick to show you her boobs. If you ask enough finally one will.
It looks like that might soon change though. Yesterday fishing below Frailes one of the resort boats found a spot of cooperative fish. In the afternoon they had 11 bites and released 7 Marlin. Today a couple of boats went back to the same spot but the marlin were nowhere to be found.
Off of Cabo Pulmo we were fortunate to find an area of fish that wanted to go. Looks like maybe they are moving this way.
There has also been a few nice dorado being caught in the 30 to 40 pound range.
John Fry landed this nice dorado today.
