Now both Jen Wren boats are in the water and ready for action
We were acompanied on our Jen Wren III shake down cruise by bothers Dave and Gene Ordway. The day started fishing in shore and the boys quickly landed a couple of nice leopard grouper.
Moving off shore it didn't take Gene long to hook a nice dorado. It didn't take long to get him hooked on Accurate reels either.
Not a bad way to start our season
When Dave got on the boat in the morning he told me he was a lucky fisherman. He quickly proved it to be true. We boated our first wahoo of the season on our first day on the water. He wasn't kidding. Look at the way this wahoo was hooked. We weren't so lucky with the next though and did loose one of Dave's lures.
The sea temps on the East Cape are warming, fish are becoming active and it looks like the making of a great season.
