The 88° blue water is just off the 100 fathom line all up and down the coast and at about 6 miles off the coast. The offshore fishing has been a bit on the slow side, averaging only a sailfish and dorado per boat per day. Most of this was due to the full moon period.

However, even the roosterfish and jack crevalle action backed off a bit this week. We had hard rains over the weekend and the inshore water got stained, because of the heavy outflows from the coastal rivers. Adolfo, on the panga Dos Hermanos, had to travel to find clean water and a few fish each day.

Yesterday (Wednesday), he made the long run to Puerto Vicente Guerrero with Brad and Josh Satterfield of Steamboat Springs, CO. They were staying up at Saladita to take advantage of the excellent surfing up there, but really wanted to get a rooster. With Adolfo, they got three nice roosters and several jack crevalle.
