Due to the heavy rains we got this last week, the inshore water has cooled down a bit to a nice 80 degrees, and the blue water is still hugging the 100 fathom line at 6 miles off the beach. Even though there are really no clients here to test the blue water species, the sailfish action is on the slow side.

Adolfo and Ken |
But, by fishing close to Zihuatanejo Bay at Playa Larga, 3 hours later we were back at the dock….incredible! Ken had released a big eye jack of about 14 pounds, a jack crevalle of about 25 pounds and two roosters. The first rooster was boated and is in the 30 pound class. The second rooster was about 45 pounds and lost close to the boat. Adolfo is a magician.

Please remember, every day on the water is a new day…and things change overnight. However, if the good weather we have had the last couple of days continues, I only see improvement with the fishing this next week.
