The laundry list

On a scale of one to ten I would call East Cape fishing a 9 this week.  Marlin, sailfish, dorado and more wahoo than I can ever remember are all on the menu.  If yellowfin tuna and roosterfish would show we would be having a perfect ten.  Most boats are returning from their days fishing flying outriggers full of colorful flags showing their success.

Fish are scattered in every direction.  The key to success is finding bottlenosed porpoise and storm petrols.  Find the porpoise and birds and game fish won't be far.

There was a couple days of strong southeast wind.  It cooled the water but didn't slow down the bite.  Two days of calm weather has allowed the water temp to bounce back to almost 80 degrees.  Now seas are flat and we are experiencing the best fishing of the year.

Troy Bryand fishing Pete Gray's "Lets Talk Hookup" tournament based at Rancho Leonero bagged this hoo

Dorado

Sailfish

Marlin

Oops!  Here is a party foul.  No Bananas!  Fishing is so good right now we still scored.

Halco Lazer Pros have been the ticket
