spoon fed

AF fans across the country are watching the 2011 series on Sportsman Channel and they're eating it up! The full length episodes on the web are getting a lot of attention, too. News broke this week that the return of the Mogan Spoon is getting closer. All this news is making this reporter a little hungry.

Once upon a time, there was a little jewel that shimmered and shined as it danced in the sunlight underneath the water's surface. An epidemic of pierced lips quickly spread among our favorite sport fish as they would fight for position to be the next to be branded by the latest fashion. Teasing both predator and prey, the past few years have been hard for some to swallow. We are on the cusp of seeing the rebirth of the coveted Mogan Spoon. A lucky few were selected to view the packaged prototype at a recent fishing expo. Our longtime fan, CooKnFish, shed tears of joy when he saw the return of the Mogan Spoon and then came the tears of pain as we had to wrestle it away from him. Check out this video and get an idea of what to expect from the new TroKar Mogan Spoon. To be continued...

Dip into the 2011 season of Addictive Fishing on Sportsman Channel. Fans are getting a taste of Florida fishing this week as Capt. Blair joins Capt. Christian Yergens in Vero Beach as they search the flats for Mogan trout and redfish. Dish Network subscribers are getting a special treat. For the entire month of October, they can preview Sportsman Channel on channel 395. Tune in and turn it up! Next in the queue, "Sailfish Sound."

Brunswick, GA, get ready! The Dick's Sporting Goods Mogan Tour is coming your way in just a couple of weeks. Mark your calendars for Oct. 23rd so you don’t miss out on meeting the Mogan Man in person. He'll be at the Grand Opening of the new DSG from 11am – 4 pm signing autographs and giving out FREE stuff. Sign up for the Minn Kota/ Humminbird Giveaway while you're there. The store will be freshly stocked with lots of Flats Blue rods and FINS line as well as a full rack of Blair's favorite hooks and lures in the AF Zone. See ya there!

More than a mouthful? It might appear that Trenton Carr bit off more than he can chew, but this young angler in South Carolina makes it look like another day in the park. His 40-inch "pig" ate a live pogie. Awesome redfish, Trenton! That beast is the Mogan of the Week! Check out more photos or post your own on our Facebook page or log into the Mogan Lounge

Put it on my bill,
Billbird
