The host of Addictive Fishing, Capt. Blair Wiggins, has not been caught in a kayak on video (yet) but the conversation keeps surfacing. This weekend, our longtime sponsor, DOA Lures, is holding its annual kayak tournament. Next weekend, the Mogan Man will be making an appearance at the Jacksonville Kayak Fishing Classic. With the price of gas steadily climbing, we may see another spurt of growth in a sport that has erupted in recent years.
Kayakers, fishermen & -women and anyone else who loves DOA Lures are heading to River Palm Cottages this weekend for the DOA Annual Paddlers Event. Mark Nichols, creator of the popular baits, put together this fun-for-everyone tournament, that showcases his lures, to give the participants an equal opportunity to win some awesome prizes. Nichols’ “keep it simple” philosophy is translated into making this a kayak tournament, again, giving everyone an even playing field. Last year, Nikki Stewart showed 100 guys that it sometimes takes the finesse of a woman to bring home the gold. Nikki says she plans to defend her title this weekend. Look out guys!

We’re coo-coo for Cocoa Beach Space Coast
