I am only going to be attending one outdoors show this year. Over the last couple years I have traveled the midwest during the winter months setting up booths at various shows and attending all kinds of seminars and workshops. This winter I decided that I am gonna save those advertising funds and expenses of traveling and focus my time close to home just simply taking people fishing, snapping lots of photos and video, and basically just focusing on everything that we already have set up for 2010.
The plan of attack has been working out really good so far. Somehow though I got sucked into doing a show coming up in the first week of March, but I am actually looking forward to it this time. It is real close to home and is going to be alot of fun. Justin and I are setting up a 5,000 gallon indoor pond and are going to be stocking it with rainbow trout and working with the DNR to bring in various other species of large fish. We have lots of volunteers lined up to help run the 'fishing pond' so I will just be hanging close by and talking to whoever wants to come talk about fish, ponds, weeds, aerators, fishing, hunting, politics or really anything.
Along with the Fishing Pond, I will have a simple Herman Brothers Pond Management booth with some literature and a bowl of candy. Also will have a Hooked On Fishing Park booth and my good friend Michael Lutes with Illinois Land Company will have a booth as well. Plus, this is an all outdoors show, so everything is fishing, hunting, camping, or whatever else you do outside. There wont be any siding booths, or shamwows, or any other gimick stuff.
Anyhow, stop on by and say HI! here is some more info about the show:
