The schedule is stretched thin this week as there are events lined up from one corner of the state to the other. The AF Crew is filming on the Space coast, the Northeast has a Mogan Tour stop while the Southwest is holding a Project Snook fund raiser. Can’t make up your mind which direction to go? Kick back and enjoy this week's episode of Addictive Fishing!
Kayak fishing gets "Addictive!" The Mogan Man has been doing some crazy things this season of AF, and the latest on the water is he’s been seen fishing in a kayak!! Yup, that's right, Capt. Blair Wiggins is currently paddlin' the Space Coast looking for redfish with special guest Shane Edgar of Dick's Sporting Goods. If you’re in the paddli'’ mood yourself, then head on out on Saturday May 14th, the SWFL Gheenoe Club is hosting a fund raising tournament to benefit Addictive Fishing's Project Snook. This catch-photo-release tournament is open to all. The captains’ meeting is Friday evening with fishing on Saturday. The AF crew wanted to be at this event but due to previously scheduled appearances will not be able to make it this year. If you want to get in on this tournament to benefit Project Snook, visitSWFLGheenoeClub.com for more info.
If you're not fishing the SWFL Gheenoe Club's tournament on Saturday and can make it up to Jacksonville, stop in to see the Mogan Man at Dick's Sporting Goods at St. Johns Town Center from 11 am – 4 pm. Capt. Blair brings the Mogan Tour to Jax and a load of free stuff with him. And of course he'll have Blair's Boat Wash from Star brite for a $10 donation to Project Snook.
Mogan Maidens ruled the DOA Paddle Only Event last week. Over 120 anglers launched the plastic navy into the Indian River with a box full of DOA baits. Jean Mcelroy won 1st place, Sharon Magwood landed 4th place and 9 year old Kaci won the under 12 division. This was the second year in a row a lady angler won the DOA tournament. Other winners were Chuck Statham with 2nd place, Sean Bletz in 3rd and Derrick won the 12-16 year old division. Each of the winners took home a brand new Ocean Kayak! Congratulations everyone, you made the Mogan of the Week!
