Z Fish Report (10/11/12)

The 86° blue water is basically just off the beach and the fishing is improving. The problem is there are so few people here fishing; I can’t really get a handle on the true conditions.

I do know Santiago, on the super panga Gitana fished Monday and released 3 sailfish. New local (Troncones) resident, Russell Erwin, and his friend Larry from California were recommended by Troncones icon Ernie Mrachek to fish with Santiago. Here is a video of Ernie's last trip with Santiago...
And Francisco, on the panga Huntress II caught and released 2 sailfish on a half day charter on Wednesday. Both captains were working the 10 to 13 mile areas.

And, the roosterfish action is still fantastic, but with nobody fishing them. Good clean 86° water on the inshore is like a magnet to roosters.
