Despite my best efforts it has been a slow start to the season in my opinion. I suppose it's to be expected after the relatively harsh Winter we have had here and so far as I can see, most of mother nature's other creations are behaving in the same way as the fish!
Combine this with a week of howling North easterly winds cooling the surface of the sea, the weakest neap tides of the cycle this weekend and there's not too much point in heading out but the good thing about fishing is.....................you never know
