The crew has been show hopping lately. From Bass Masters in Louisiana to the Frank Sargeant Show in Tampa, the next stop on the map is the Florida Sportsman Show in Jacksonville. Mr. Producerman has been hard at work behind the scenes getting ready for the new shows to air in April. Here is this week’s look behind the curtain.
The AF crew spent last weekend at the Tampa Tribune Outdoors Expo pimpin' FINS line and the new "Flats Blue" rods and both were flying off the shelf. All of the spinning rods were gone by Saturday afternoon! The FINS rack was like the never ending breakfast buffet; every time a box sold there was another box in waiting to fill the empty space. This reporter spent a day roaming the expo and visiting with our friends at DOA Lures, Florida’s Space Coast, Bob's Machine Shop and Calusa cast nets. It was great seeing so many fans of the show stopping by to say "hey" to the Mogan Man.
If you missed out on the show in Tampa, the Florida Sportsman Show rolls into Jacksonville this weekend. Come out to Morocco Shrine March 12-13 and catch Capt. Blair at the FINS booth for the Wet A Line Tour. Blair will take the main stage at 1pm to share his secrets on inshore tactics. Back at the booth, be sure to load up on FINS situational line for a fishing season that is getting fired up. See ya at the show!
New episodes of Addictive Fishing are almost here and the countdown is underway! AF is known for going big and bold and the new season is no exception. We’ve got Mogans packed in like… well, sardines! Sailfish with the legendary Norm Isaacs, big black drum with Skeet Reese, and tuna eating plastic; this season is going to be off the hook! Stay tuned as we count down to Mogan Time.
Pompano fever is contagious! Jerry with DOA was talking about pompano jigging at the expo last week. He was showing off his pompano rig which is nothing more than one of their pinch weights on a hook. Suddenly, pompano are showing up all over the web. Mark Leikin posted a delicious photo of his pompano (soon to be) dinner on the Addictive Fishing Facebook fan page. That’s our Mogan of the week! Thanks for getting our taste buds in an uproar!
